Info: Perennial, height up to 80 cm. A poppy with strikingly fiery red flowers and a black center. The plants with often giant flowers should not be missing in any perennial border. Suitable for beds and group planting as well as for cutting, cut in bud.
Care: Sow thinly and do not cover with soil (light germinator!), just press down lightly and keep moist until emergence. Thin out in May - July to 50x80 cm in time. Due to the taproot, transplanting is difficult. Loves sunny location and well-drained soil.
Tip: The plants die back after flowering, so the area can be covered with summer flowers.
