Info: Perennial herb with a fresh, tangy taste. Height 30 - 60 cm. High yield, as the young leaves and shoots can be harvested multiple times. Harvest fresh, to season the well-known sorrel soup, salads and spinach. Stimulates appetite and cleanses blood.
Care: Sow in rows with a distance of 25 - 30 cm, press down lightly, cover with soil lightly or not at all (light germinator!) and keep moist. Thin out strong seedlings to a distance of 10 cm. Undemanding, loves sunny but also shady locations on deep, well-drained, and moist garden soil.
Tip: Leaves can be preserved by freezing (in water). Remove flowers in time to prevent seed spread.
Sowing: Late March - August in the open field
Germination: 10 - 20 days at 15 - 22°C, light germinator
Harvest: July - October, from March in the 2nd year
