Info: Perennial, white-pink flowering medicinal and aromatic plant, which grows 30 - 100 cm high depending on the location. Cats are said to be attracted by the mint scent and become somewhat agitated. The flowers and leaves are used, fresh or dried, as a tea infusion for colds, fever, and stomach upset; it has a nerve-calming effect.
Care: Sow 0.5 cm deep in rows 30 cm apart, press lightly, cover with soil and keep moist. If necessary, prick out and later transplant or thin out strong seedlings with 30x30 cm spacing. Likes sunny locations on all, preferably loamy-humic garden soils.
Tip: The flowers and the scent attract insects and keep flea beetles away from vegetables.
