Info: High-yielding, semi-long, cylindrical variety with smooth skin and dark red flesh without ring formation. Very high-yielding. Harvestable from October and storable until March. Used cooked, as salad vegetable, for wet preservation, pickled in vinegar, or as juice. Food coloring.
Care: Sow 2 - 3 cm deep in rows with 30 cm spacing. Press seeds, cover with soil, and keep moist. Thin out to 10 cm if necessary. Prefers sunny, also partially shaded locations and all loose, humus-rich garden soils. Water moderately but continuously.
Tip: Late sowings from May - June produce very tender beets. Harvest without injury, otherwise they will bleed. Store cool, frost-free in sand or pit.
