Info: Proven, very high-yielding variety with uniformly dark orange-red colored, long, cylindrical carrots. Aromatic sweet taste and high content of vitamins and minerals, especially carotene. For fresh consumption as salad, vegetable, and juice as well as for freezing. Very good for storage in cellars or pits until March.
Care: Sow thinly, 0.5 - 1 cm deep in rows with a distance of 30 cm, cover with soil and keep moist. Thin out strong seedlings with 4 - 5 leaves to a distance of 8 - 10 cm. Loves sunny location and humus-rich, deep, stone-free, sandy garden soil. Do not give fresh farmyard manure. Hoeing and weed control are important. Cover with nets to protect against carrot flies or plant in combination with onions.
Tip: Sowing markers with radishes make the rows visible and allow for hoeing before emergence.
Sowing: March - June in the open
Germination: 14 - 21 days at 10 - 20°C
Harvest: September - November
