The elbow is equipped with a female thread and a male thread, both of which have the same diameter. The connection sides are inclined at 45° to each other. To seal the thread, you additionally need a suitable thread sealing material. Hemp or Teflon tape is suitable here. The thread is the common Whitworth pipe thread used in water technology. The male threads are conical.

The threads are sealed with a suitable thread sealing material such as PTFE thread sealing tape or thread sealing hemp.

Stainless steel fittings made of AISI 316 stainless steel are listed in the UBA list (UBA = Federal Environment Agency) for potable materials in drinking water installations and can therefore be used for drinking water supply.
