Info: Proven, mid-early Quedlinburg cultivation. Ideal for the cold frame. Beautiful, 30 cm long, smooth, dark green fruits with a small core house and firm flesh. Resistant to scab. For fresh consumption and for crunchy salads.
Care: Sow 2-3 cm deep in pots with 1-2 seeds per pot, cover with soil and keep moist. Plant in a cold frame or open field from May, 50x100 cm distance. Direct sowing in the open field with 2-3 seeds 30x100 cm. Thin out later. Loves warm, sunny, wind-protected location and loose, humus-rich, well-fertilized soil. No temperatures below 10°C.
Tip: Use compost as 'soil heating'. Constant picking (every 4-7 days) increases the harvest quantity.
Sowing: March-April indoors, mid-May - June outdoors
Germination: 6-14 days at 20-25°C
Harvest: Mid-June - September
