The advantage of this combination is the large flow rate and the ability to close quickly.
A large portion of the IBC containers available on the market have an outlet tap with an S60x6 coarse thread, also known as DN 50 or NW50, DIN61 or S60. The outer diameter (measured with thread) is approximately 60 mm and is often specified as 2 inches. The coarse thread is clearly recognizable with a thread pitch of 6 mm.
