Info: Annual. A long-stemmed ornamental kale specially bred for cutting. The round leafed variety forms small heads in the fall that show a beautifully contrasting center in cream white and pink. "Sunrise" tolerates light frost and therefore extends the gardening season into the winter. Height approximately 40 cm.
Care: Sowing depth: 0.5 cm. Later transplant at a 15x15 cm distance. Ornamental kale prefers a sunny location and humus-rich, nutrient-rich soils. Ensure adequate moisture.
Use: The plants look very exotic and decorative as long-lasting cut flowers in floral arrangements but also in the bed.
Gardener's Tip: The coloration of the leaves occurs at low night temperatures starting in September. The head size depends on the planting distance. With close planting (15x15 cm) 12 cm large heads develop. With larger distances, heads can reach a diameter of 20 cm.
Sowing: From mid-May to July
Germination: 6 - 8 days at 15 - 18°C
Location: Sunny
Flowering: From July - October
