Info: Annual. The mix of two-colored striped and spotted semi-tall snapdragon delights with unusual color combinations. Height: approx. 40 - 50 cm.
Care: Pre-culture takes place indoors (greenhouse/window sill), sown flat in pots/trays. From mid-May (frost-free), the plants can be moved outdoors, first acclimate to outside temperatures (harden off). From mid-May, direct sowing in the open is possible, at the final location. Maintain consistent temperatures and moisture. Use sowing soil! Plant spacing 20x20 cm.
Use: The bushy branched plants are very attractive when planted in groups in flower borders. They also fit in larger containers and can be continuously cut for colorful bouquets.
Gardener's tip: Direct sowing at the final location is simplified when seeds are mixed with sand. This has two advantages: the seeds are easier to handle, and the sand is clearly visible on the sowing bed. Cutting back after the first bloom soon ensures further abundant flowering. Continuously remove faded flowers. Snapdragon can be cut in bud; they will bloom in the vase. Prefers humus-rich, well-drained soils.
Sowing: Pre-culture: February - April; Direct sowing: From the end of April - June
Germination: 10 - 18 days at 18 - 22°C
Location: Sunny - Partial shade
Flowering: From May until frost
