Info: Annual. The chocolate flower has sunflower-like (about 3 - 4 cm big), yellow flowers. In contrast, the vanilla flower has deep dark blue flowers. A visually stunning combination. The chocolate and vanilla flowers near sitting areas emit a scent that reminds of chocolate ice cream with cream. Enjoyment without regret! Growth height: about 30 cm.
Care: The pre-cultivation takes place in a warm place (greenhouse/windowsill), sowed shallow about 0.5 cm in pots or trays. From mid-May (frost-free) it can be sowed outdoors in pots/trays. Keep the sowing constantly warm and moist. Use sowing soil! Plant spacing 30x30 cm.
Usage: Both flowers are optimal for planting in rock gardens, tubs, beds. Preferably plant near seating areas.
Gardener tip: Chocolate and vanilla flowers tolerate short dry periods, they serve as nectar plants for bees, bumblebees, or butterflies. Regularly remove faded flowers.
