Info: Perennial. Beautiful early spring bloomer and border perennial with many double, dahlia-like, nodding flowers without spurs. A diverse mix in colors ranging from pastel pink to ocean blue, some petals with light green tips. Height: approx. 75 cm.
Care: Sow from March to May shallowly in seed trays or 5 - 7 seeds per pot. Keep seeds in the shade. Plant outdoors after strengthening. A semi-shady or sunny spot is suitable for the vigorous plants. The soil should be well-loosened and permeable. Plant spacing 30x30 cm.
Usage: This abundantly flowering perennial fits in perennial beds and natural gardens, also well suited for cutting.
Gardener's tip: When sown in spring the young plants are gradually hardened off to avoid frost damage. Columbine comes into its own when planted in groups. The seed heads can be used fresh and dried as adornments in bouquets.
