approx. 15 plants
Info: This proven variety from traditional breeding is suitable for cultivation in open fields and greenhouses. The fruits ripen very early. They reach a weight of approx. 80 g. The crack-resistant tomatoes are easy to slice, very aromatic, and delicate. Due to the presence of resistances against tomato mosaic virus and Cladosporium, the plants remain healthy for a long time.
Care: Sow in a warm place (greenhouse/windowsill), about 0.5 - 1 cm deep. When the seedlings have 4 leaves, transplant them into pots. Keep the sowing consistently warm and moist. Use sowing soil! From mid-May (frost-free), plant outdoors, harden the seedlings beforehand (acclimate to outside temperatures). Plant spacing 60x80 cm. Side shoots must be pinched out (pruning). Water and fertilize regularly. Provide support immediately after planting.
Use: The handy fruits are delicious as a bread topping and can be used for soups, sauces, pizzas, and pasta dishes. The intense tomato aroma is particularly pronounced in a spicy tomato salad.
Gardener's Tip: After the first harvest, remove foliage close to the ground to prevent fungal diseases. Do not place tomatoes near potatoes, as they are carriers of the so-called late blight (Phytophthora i.). Change the location annually. Plant in the same place only after 3 years. Avoid rain wetness, preferably water from below.
